The Mount Wachusett Community College (窪做惇蹋厙) Foundation is pleased to announce an award of $24,000 from the Career Readiness and Educational Access Grant Program of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
The funds will be distributed through the 窪做惇蹋厙 Student Stabilization Scholarship Fund which aims to provide at least 24 full-time and/or part-time north central Massachusetts residents approximately $1,000 scholarships annually to minimize the students unmet financial need while they attend 窪做惇蹋厙 in the 2022/2023 academic year.
The first priority for funding will be focused on students who have dropped out or stopped their college education at 窪做惇蹋厙 since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis, but who are closest to completing their program, notes 窪做惇蹋厙 Foundation Director Carla Zottoli. The second priority will be to aid those whose educational plans were impacted due to the pandemic and who have unmet financial needs.
We are thankful for the support of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, said 窪做惇蹋厙 President James Vander Hooven. This grant enables us to extend assistance to students most impacted by the pandemic, enabling them to complete their education.
